DO NOT MATCH Terms of Use

Effective: October 14, 2026 · Last updated: October 17, 2026

These terms are an agreement between you and The Plain Works Co., Ltd. (주식회사 더플레인웍스), a company incorporated in the Republic of Korea (Plain Works, we, us), about the DO NOT MATCH mobile game (the Game). Business registration number: 293-87-03653. Registered office: 901-C32 126, Wolbong-ro, Seobuk-gu, Cheonan-si, Chungcheongnam-do, Republic of Korea (31166). Contact: hello@theplain.works. The registered office is not open to visitors, so please use email.

The Game is in internal testing and is not yet available on Google Play. Until it is, only invited testers can install it.

By installing or playing the Game you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Game. Google Play's rules also apply to your download.

1. The Game

The Game is a single-player match puzzle with an authored fictional story about adult characters, family roles and event plans. You tap connected groups of matching pieces to clear objectives and reveal fictional story records. It is local and single-player. It has no online account, multiplayer, chat or cloud save. It is free to download and play (currently in internal testing and not yet available on Google Play), and it shows ads served by Google AdMob (section 4). There are no real-money purchases in the current version (section 5).

Story names, characters, organizations, documents and events are fictional. Story receipts are fictional entertainment, not real contracts, notices, orders, financial records, evidence about a real person or professional advice. The Game is not a dating service, public forum or messaging service.

2. Who can play

The Game is intended for players 13 and older and is not directed to children under 13. If you are under 13, do not play. If you are under the age of majority where you live, ask a parent or guardian to review these terms with you. The Game does not ask your age, and it does not set Google's child-directed or under-age-of-consent tags for ads. The Game's Google Play content rating is Everyone (ESRB) / PEGI 3. That rating describes what the content contains. It does not say who the Game is meant for.

3. License and acceptable use

We give you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and play the Game for private, non-commercial entertainment, subject to these terms and the rules of Google Play. You may use your phone's share feature to send a fictional receipt image that you choose to share. What happens to it after that is governed by the app or service you pick.

Do not sell, sublicense, publicly redistribute, modify or reverse engineer the Game, bypass a technical protection, interfere with the Game or the store, introduce malware, use the Game unlawfully, or use automated means to generate ad impressions or clicks. Restrictions that the law does not allow do not apply, and lawful security research stays available. Do not use our name or marks to suggest that we endorse you or your content.

We own or license the Game, its code, art, sound, names, interface and authored fictional content. These terms give you no ownership of them.

4. Ads

The Game shows ads from Google AdMob. Rewarded ads are optional: you choose whether to watch one. When you run out of moves you can choose to watch an ad for five extra moves, and from the map you can choose to watch an ad for one extra life. The reward is the one shown before you start. We give a reward only after the ad reports that you earned it. Interstitial ads can appear after you win a level, starting at level 8, never in your first session and never more often than every 3 levels and 2 minutes.

In the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland, and anywhere else Google's consent platform requires it, the Game shows Google's User Messaging Platform consent form. When that form is required, a Privacy options button appears in the Game's Settings so you can change your choice later. Everywhere else, use your Android advertising settings (see the Privacy Policy). The Game may also ask Google Play to show its in-app review prompt, which you can dismiss. Ads come from Google and its advertisers. We do not endorse advertised products. What Google processes, why, and how you can control it is in the Privacy Policy.

5. No real-money purchases

The Game has no in-app purchases and no subscriptions. Nothing in the Game costs money. Coins you earn in play can be spent in the in-game shop on boosters and lives. Coins cannot be bought with money and ads do not give coins. Coins, lives, progress and receipts are not money, stored value, property you can transfer or sell, or anything you can redeem outside the Game.

If we ever offer a real-money purchase, it will go through Google Play, Google Play's refund rules will apply, and we will update these terms and the Purchases and Refunds page before it is offered.

6. Progress and changes

The Game stores your progress and earned story records, settings and images on your device. There is no cloud recovery. You can lose progress if you clear app data, replace your device, or the operating system does not restore app data. We cannot restore a save we never received.

We may fix defects, change or remove a feature, or stop distributing the Game. We do not promise that every level or feature will always be available.

7. Disclaimers and limits on liability

The Game is provided as is and as available. To the fullest extent the law allows, we disclaim all warranties, including any implied warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement, and we do not promise that the Game will be uninterrupted, error-free or work on every device. To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost progress.

To the fullest extent the law allows, our total liability for all claims about the Game or these terms is limited to US$100. Some places do not allow these limits, so they may not apply to you. They do not apply to liability that cannot lawfully be limited, such as liability for fraud, intentional misconduct, gross negligence, or death or personal injury. Nothing in these terms limits a right that the law of your state or country gives you and that cannot be waived.

8. Governing law and disputes

Governing law. If you live in the United States, the Federal Arbitration Act governs the arbitration section below, and otherwise the laws of the State of New York govern these terms, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. If you live outside the United States, the laws of the Republic of Korea govern these terms and the courts with jurisdiction over our registered office (Cheonan-si, Chungcheongnam-do) may hear disputes, without taking away any mandatory consumer rights you have under the law where you live or your right to use the courts where you live. The United Nations Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods does not apply.

Talk to us first. Before you or we file a claim, the one who wants to bring it sends the other a written notice describing the problem and what is wanted. For us, email hello@theplain.works with the subject "DO NOT MATCH dispute". We will write to the email you used to contact us. Both sides then try in good faith to resolve it informally for 60 days.

Binding individual arbitration (U.S. residents). If the dispute is not resolved in 60 days, you and we agree to resolve it only by binding individual arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association (AAA) under its Consumer Arbitration Rules (and its Mass Arbitration Supplementary Rules where they apply), instead of in court. The hearing can be by video or phone, or in the county where you live. The AAA consumer rules set who pays fees. We pay the rest of the AAA fees for consumer claims. An arbitrator decides only your individual claim and may give the same individual relief a court could.

What stays in court. Either side may bring an individual claim in small-claims court. Either side may ask a court for relief against infringement or misuse of its intellectual property. Claims that are not arbitrated go to the state or federal courts in New York County, New York, and you and we consent to those courts.

No class actions or jury trials. Where the law allows, you and we may bring claims only on an individual basis, not as a plaintiff or class member in a class, collective or representative action, and you and we each waive any right to a jury trial. If a court finds the class waiver unenforceable for a claim, that claim goes to court and not to arbitration.

Opt out within 30 days. You can opt out of arbitration. To do so, email hello@theplain.works within 30 days of first accepting these terms, from the email address you use for the Game's support (or include your name and your device model), and say that you opt out of arbitration. Opting out does not affect any other part of these terms.

Timing. This section applies to disputes that arise after October 14, 2026. A dispute that arose earlier keeps the terms that applied to it.

9. Changes and contact

We may update these terms. If a change matters, we will update the date at the top and, where the law requires, ask for your agreement. A change does not take away rights that you already have. If a provision is unenforceable, it is limited only as much as needed and the rest stays in force.

For support, email hello@theplain.works with "DO NOT MATCH support" in the subject, plus your device model, Android version, Game version and what happened. Do not send passwords, identity documents or payment details. We do not offer 24-hour support. For privacy requests, see the Privacy Policy.
